Japanese / English nerikomicat

Nerikomi ceramics has recently been gaining attention and popularity, and has been seen in many art competitions and exhibitions as well as in ceramics workshops. Part of the reason for this is the introduction of nerikomi technique in many ceramics magazines and books, as well as development of materials particularly suited for nerikomi. But more importantly, we believe that the spread of nerikomi technique owes to the fact that people are truly enjoying crafting with the technique and its unique way of expression. We are also seeing an increasing number of nerikomi ceramists since we are sharing and teaching one another the technique of making translucent porcelain nerikomi, which was initially thought to be challenging. We hope that you get great experience out of these workshops and enjoy nerikomi ceramics as much as we do.
